Boarding Services
Berkeley K-9 has offered kennel care and year-round boarding services to our community for 25 years. Our kennel is fully heated and air-conditioned featuring 10 indoor stalls and 10 outdoor stalls. We also have an 80X80 play run area. We accept all breeds, ages, personalities and will accommodate multiple dogs from one family. All dogs are treated with individual care and accommodations. We interact with your dog on many occasions throughout the day and clean their stall daily. Our starting cost is $20 per day. This rate may vary based on owner requests and dog's needs.
Boarding Requirements
When your dog stays at Berkeley K-9, we will require that the dog be current and up-to-date on all of his/her shots. We will need you to acquire these vaccinations before entering the facility: DHLPP, distemper, bordetella and rabies.
We cannot accommodate dogs that are pregnant or in heat. If your puppy is under the age of 6 months, please call our facility for an evaluation so we can be sure to meet all your needs and requests. Dogs that require any form of post-operative care or have restrictions on physical activity will need to be evaluated so we can be fully prepared for their stay.
Scheduling Information
When scheduling to drop off your dog, we recommend giving as much advance notice as possible to ensure we can provide the services you need to accommodate your schedule. You can drop off and pick up your pet any day during the week between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
Please feel free to bring toys and/or bedding to make your dog feel more at home. Also, please supply the same food and feeding regiment you would normally provide at home. This is important so that your dog's digestion is not disturbed. Sudden changes in food could potentially upset the pet's stomach. You can pre-measure your pet's food if you'd like. Separating food into plastic bags can make for easy dispensing. Please make sure to bring enough food for the whole duration of your pet's stay. Adding an extra day's amount of food is generally a good idea just in case you can't pick up on your designated day. If your pet needs to have medicine administered, please place that in a separate bag with instructions.
If for some reason your dog requires veterinary care while you are away, we will try to contact you immediately. In the event we are unable to contact you or your emergency contact, we will transport your dog to the necessary clinic for proper care. The owner is responsible for all veterinary care received.
